Who we are
VideoDL.xyz was built by a small team of developers who kept running into the same problem — saving an Instagram video was way harder than it needed to be. Every tool they tried was drowning in pop-ups, asking for passwords it had no business requesting, or just broken.
So they built their own. VideoDL is fully independent — not connected to Instagram or Meta in any way. We run the servers, write the code, and keep it going because real people use it every day.
Why we built it
Instagram still doesn't let you save your own content easily. Post a video, love someone's Reel, want to keep a Story before it disappears — there's no built-in way to do it.
That gap is what VideoDL fills. People should be able to save content they have a right to save — their own uploads, public posts, anything they have permission to download.
Our promise — and we mean it
We will never ask for your Instagram login. We will never sell your data. We will never store your downloads. Your request gets processed, then we forget it happened. That's the deal — it doesn't change.
