Trump news: Donald Trump calls Justin Trudeau ‘two-faced’ after leaked video | World | News

The US President told reporters at a press conference after a meeting with leaders in Watford that Mr Trudeau is “two-faced” when asked to react to the Canadian Prime Minister’s comments. Mr Trudeau was caught mocking on Tuesday night with Boris Johnson and French President Emmanuel Macron. President Trump told reporters: “Well, he’s two-faced. No, honestly Trudeau is a nice guy. I find him a very nice guy.

“But you know the truth is that I called him out on the fact that he’s not paying 2 percent and I guess he’s note very happy about it.

“You were there, a few of you were there.

“He’s not paying 2 percent and he should be paying 2 percent.

“In Canada they have money and he should be paying 2 percent. So I called him out on that and I’m sure he wasn’t happy about it.

“But that’s the way it is.”

During yesterday’s reception at Buckingham Palace the three leaders, joined by Princess Anne, were caught on camera as they were speaking about a politician delivering a 40-minute impromptu speech.

While Mr Trump’s name is not pronounced, many commentators and social media users are convinced the world leaders were speaking about the US President.

A few of the words exchanged by world leaders can be heard in footage shared by the Twitter account of Canadian current affairs programme, CBC’s Power & Politics.

In the video, Mr Johnson can be heard saying to Mr Macron: “Is that why you were late?”

Mr Trudeau intervenes, saying: “He was late because he takes a 40-minute press conference off the top!”.

CBC, who shared the video, wrote on Twitter: “@JustinTrudeau , @EmmanuelMacron , @BorisJohnson and other VIPs shared a few words at a Buckingham Palace reception Tuesday.

“No one mentions @realDonaldTrump by name, but they seem to be discussing his lengthy impromptu press conferences from earlier in the day.”

A social media user condemned this behaviour, saying on Twitter: “This is like watching a bad rip off version of mean girls except with bad politicians who preach one thing but do the complete opposite when they think no one is looking.”

Another Twitter user attacks Mr Trudeau’s words, saying: “Ridiculous way for world leaders to act.

“All should be ashamed but as a Canadian I’m most concerned with Trudeau who is representing my beautiful country.

“How dare you embarrass us?!”
