New Delhi: Indian two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp has said that the disruption in supply of components from China due to the outbreak of Coronavirus (Covid-19) will impact the company’s planned production in February 2020.

In a statement, the two-wheeler major said, “The ongoing issue of Coronavirus (Covid-19) in China has affected the supply of some components to our manufacturing facilities in India. This is likely to impact our planned production by around 10 per cent for the month of February.”

It also added, “Any further impact on our production will depend on the developing situation in China. We continue to track the developments and keep evaluating our options.'”

With this, Hero MotoCorp may end up rolling out around 50,000-60,000 units of two-wheelers lower this month. As it can be assumed that the supply chain disruption could impact 10 per cent on average monthly production numbers of around 579,490 units till December in FY20.

However, Hero MotoCorp has clarified that wholesale dispatches to the dealers will remain unaffected during this period.
